Puppy Feeding Schedule & Nutrition

8-12 week old puppies should eat 4 times daily. Use high-quality puppy food formulated for small, medium, or large breeds depending on your puppy's expected adult size.

French Bulldog puppies need portion control to prevent obesity — measure every meal. They do well on high-quality small-breed puppy food with moderate protein. Avoid overfeeding as Frenchies are prone to weight gain.

Establish consistent meal times: 7 AM, 12 PM, 5 PM, and 8 PM. Remove uneaten food after 20 minutes. Always provide fresh water.

Avoid human food, especially chocolate, grapes, onions, and xylitol. These are toxic to dogs and can cause serious health issues.

Transition to adult food gradually between 12-18 months. Mix 25% adult food with 75% puppy food for the first week, then 50/50, then 75/25 over 3-4 weeks.
